Its padded shoulders give the suit the strong silhouette of the 1940s but with a nod to the 1950s through the softer shaping throughout. Half of the small notched collar has been adorned with luxurious black velvet and the jacket fastens with two lines of four buttons in a double breasted configuration. Tiny slit pockets at the hip add a practical feature to the jacket.
